Investment funds

Institutes of Joint Investment (IJI) is large and very prospective segment of Ukrainian financial market. In countries with developed financial and equity markets nearly 90% of citizens’ investments are made in this exactly segment.

IJI advantages are:

•    minimum risk because of diversification of investments;
•    opportunity to small investors to take part in global projects;
•    optimization of taxes charged and paid;
•    protection of investors’ rights because of division of assets management, custody and accounting of funds between assets management company (AMC) and custodian (bank);

IJI has the following “instruments”:
•    Union investment trust (UIT) – assets that belong to investors, managed by AMC and  accounted separately from AMC activity. 
•    Corporate investment fund (CIF) – public corporation that only activity is joint investment.

•    Venture fund – close – ended IJI that only activity is private placement of its own securities.
